Role Summary
The Assistant Vice President of Mitigation Operations (AVP) is a field-focused operations leader responsible for ensuring mitigation processes are consistently executed across all company locations. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Mitigation Operations, this role serves as the operational bridge between executive leadership and field teams by driving accountability, standardization, performance, and profitability throughout the organization.

This position is ideal for an experienced mitigation professional who thrives in the field, enjoys coaching teams, auditing operations, solving problems, and ensuring locations consistently meet company standards in residential and commercial restoration services.

What You'll Do
Drive Operational Excellence
  • Enforce standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across all mitigation departments
  • Conduct regular field and office audits to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Identify operational gaps and implement corrective action plans
  • Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably
  • Monitor job quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance metrics
Train, Coach & Develop Teams
  • Train Operations Managers, Project Managers, Crew Chiefs, and Technicians on company processes and best practices
  • Provide hands-on coaching in the field to reinforce expectations and improve performance
  • Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives
  • Drive accountability through performance management and operational reviews
Operational & Financial Oversight
  • Review project performance, production rates, job costs, and gross profit margins
  • Monitor labor efficiency, equipment utilization, and resource allocation
  • Support budgeting initiatives and operational cost controls
  • Analyze operational trends and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Report key performance indicators and operational results directly to the VP of Mitigation Operations
Support Growth & Expansion
  • Assist with onboarding new locations, acquisitions, and operational integrations
  • Support implementation of new systems, technology, and operational initiatives
  • Help scale processes and infrastructure as the company continues to grow
Leadership & Authority
  • Provide indirect leadership and operational oversight across multiple mitigation teams and locations
  • Serve as an extension of executive leadership in the field
  • Hold locations accountable to company standards, procedures, and performance expectations
  • Recommend operational improvements and corrective actions to senior leadership
Travel
  • Frequent travel throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi
  • Regular site visits to company locations and active projects
  • Overnight travel is expected
What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years of restoration or mitigation operations experience
  • Proven leadership experience in water, fire, mold, storm, or disaster restoration
  • Strong operational background in project management, production management, or regional operations leadership
  • Demonstrated success improving operational performance and profitability
  • Strong understanding of Xactimate, job costing, production metrics, margins, and restoration workflows
  • Experience coaching and developing operational leaders
  • Ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining positive working relationships
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
Preferred Qualifications
  • IICRC Certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, OCT, or equivalent)
  • Multi-location restoration management experience
  • Experience leading operations across multiple states or regions

Compensation: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
