 Vice President of Operations
 
JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Operations (VPO) is expected to be the leader of the office, understand all aspects of operations, have responsibility for personnel, manage financial performance, and ensure client satisfaction.   Although there is a manager of each core process, the VPO/DO must ensure each process is functioning properly, foresee and address issues, and communicate with subject matter experts as necessary.  The core processes within each office are mitigation, construction, administration, finance, and sales. 
 
WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of Senior-Level Operational Leadership experience with ability to build and maintain a highly functional team.
  • Ownership of operational functions and accountability for business performance, delivery, and profitability.
  • Ability to think critically and resolve complex situations.
  • Track record of leadership and proven growth.
 Roles and responsibilities of the VPO include:
Mitigation/Construction
·         Understand daily activities of the mitigation and construction departments.
·         Ensure operating procedures are followed on all mitigation and construction work and communication takes place.
·         Address concerns and weaknesses, such as employee issues, scoping concerns, workmanship, and opportunities to maximize revenue.
·         Perform site visits to ensure quality and standards meet expectations.
·         Review and analyze reports to identify areas of improvement.
·         Fully understand the progress of large jobs, costs incurred, and ensure completion dates are met.
·         Maintain awareness and timeliness of estimating turnaround and accuracy.
 
Administration
·         Understand the workflow and scheduling of mitigation and construction related activities.
·         Maintain awareness to certain activities via dashboards to address concerns related to documentation, estimating, and billing.
·         Correspond with SME to share ideas, address concerns, and communication.
 
Finance/Sales
·         Manage overhead and labor costs.
·         Escalate customer-related finance issues, i.e. AR, damage reimbursement.
·         Review weekly and monthly financials and fully understand/explain irregularities and take action as necessary.
·         Develop annual budgets and achieve those goals.
·         Maintain awareness and assist sales activities.
 
REQUIRED PRACTICAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
· Success requires excellent oral and written communication skills, proven leadership abilities, and a diverse background with strong technical, business and managerial skills.
· Excellent communication skills; plus, strong interpersonal and other management skills required to develop and motivate a diverse workforce across multiple business lines.
· Candidates should strongly demonstrate the following competencies: Hustle, Drive for Results, Innovation, Vision and Strategy, Risk Taking and Initiative and Team Leadership and People Development.
· Demonstrate analytical and strategic planning capabilities. (Profit and loss experience is preferred).
 
This is a hands-on, operational management environment that emphasizes executive relationships, teamwork and open collaboration with a strong customer focus. We provide 24-hour emergency service.

Compensation: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
