SP RECONSTRUCTION SERVICES INC, a divison of SERVPRO, with offices in Plant City, Winter Haven and Cape Coral, Ft Lauderdale and Naples is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the key role of Construction Superintendent in the CAPE CORAL location.  This position covers our Cape Coral, Fort Myers. Punta Gorda and surrounding areas.  This position is the first step towards becoming a Construction Manager on our team, based on your progress, effort, training / development, results, and commitment to the team.

The qualified candidate as our Construction Superintendent (SS) must meet the following minimum qualifications:
  • Have a minimum of 3 years management experience in the field in residential construction and remodeling; some commercial experience preferred
  • Have hands-on experience in the field for residential remodeling that includes rough and finish carpentry, window/door installations, light painting and preparation capabilities, basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC knowledge and a solid understanding of residential building codes.
  • Must have active experience with project management software such as BuilderTrend, CoConstruct, Xactimate (preferred), or other.
  • Knowledge of the restoration industry preferred.
The CS will perform/adhere to the following functions and procedures:
  • Review scope of work, plan and schedule sub-contractors, create and manage projects in project management software, and work with clients on completion of projects
  • Work with GM and/or Construction Manager to create Material Request Order for plumbing fixtures, floor coverings, backsplash, HVAC equipment, windows, exterior doors and others as determined by scope of project and all related materials.
  • CS will coordinate the delivery and/or pick up of all material, and supervise schedule all sub-contractors, trades, temporary labor, portal-toilet. Standard building products include lumber, drywall, concrete and masonry materials, insulation, fasteners, adhesives, grout, standard interior doors and related materials, interior trim, soffit and fascia materials, paint and others.
  • CS to oversee all activities on a daily basis for jobs assigned to him/her. Activities include scheduling and supervising subs, trades, scheduling counter top and glass templates, scheduling inspections (coordinating with client), labor and working with Designer for material purchases and deliveries.
  • CS to enter pertinent information into Daily Log in scheduling software EVERY day for EVERY job regarding problems, client issues, delays, completed items and other job-site related issues.
  • CS to follow and complete Site Preparation List
  • CS is required to fill-in as manual labor where needed to keep jobs moving forward and on schedule and/or as required. This is a minimal requirement, time should be spent 95% on management activities. 
SKILLS REQUIRED:
·         Solid communication skills – verbal and written
·         TEAM player – we help everyone, but enable nobody.  We are responsible and accountable for yourself, your job, your team.
·         Tech savvy – must be able to learn and use SERVPRO software for notes, updates, schedules, job files, etc.
·         DETAIL ORIENTED – you MUST document all work performed with notes and pictures
·         DEADLINE driven – subs need to be held accountable for established timeframes and pricing
 
TOTAL ANNUAL COMPENSATION:  $64,000 to $70,000

     
ASSETS PROVIDED – Cell phone, laptop, AMEX for job related expenses, tools and equipment as needed

REGULAR HOURS – M – F from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Compensation: $64,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
