The Restoration Reconstruction Estimator is responsible for managing a wide range of functions necessary to obtain and successfully execute the estimation of reconstruction projects. They are responsible for ensuring a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients, subcontractors, and resource providers involved in construction services.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients to build rapport and trust
- Visit job-sites and meet with clients
- Evaluate and sell the reconstruction projects.
- Work with the reconstruction superintendents to create an accurate scope of work.
- Create the project estimate.
- Upsell additional work over and above insurance related scope of work
- Communicate with Insurance Adjusters to come to an agreed upon scope
- Ensure all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work.
- Ensure proper documentation of each project including photos, contracts, change orders, etc.
- Update insurance reporting portals per requirements
- Collaborate with Sales and Mitigation teams to deliver excellent customer service.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Previous construction management experience
- Experience writing estimates, Xactimate preferred
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to meet established production goals and maintain profitability
- Effective written and oral communication
Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies
- Exposure to extreme conditions such as heat
- Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of times (i.e., driving, sitting, climbing)
- Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
- Exposure to noise levels at jobsites that can be loud
- Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
