Job Description:
- At the beginning of the project assist with creating and writing an accurate detailed scope of work and estimate that maintains desired company profit objectives using either Xactimate or Time & Materials (T&M) software.
- Work with the assigned project team leadership to set the project budget and timeline and then help to ensure both are being maintained utilizing appropriate tracking software and spreadsheets.
- Managing onsite supply trailer(s) inventories and providing accurate and detailed reports for all supplies and construction materials used daily on the jobsite.
- Oversee the daily labor sign-in/out process, complete and track all daily labor usage, and help maintain effective labor efficiencies.
- Track and verify all jobsite receipts and charges for the various subcontractors and vendors.
- Ensure any change orders or supplements to the original scope of work are invoiced accurately and timely.
- Participate in all jobsite meetings with key stakeholders.
- Effective written and verbal communication as required with various project stakeholders and company management team and departments including helping to create and distribute via email the daily narrative project update and required daily update to HQ.
- Help to oversee and manage various aspects of the day-to-day operation of the project as assigned.
- Any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Large Project Coordinator or company management
- A general understanding of commercial construction. Ideally some job-costing or estimating experience would be helpful, but willing to train the right individual.
- Tech savvy and willingness to learn new software and systems as necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Dependability and ability to work long hours and numerous days (including weekends) at a time as required to keep a project on schedule and on budget.
- Successful candidates will also possess outstanding oral and written communication and time management skills, computer skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced multi-climate environments.
- Ability to travel out-of-area, possibly for weeks at a time, to complete assigned projects.
