SERVPRO of Metairie is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our dynamic team, focusing on a variety of construction projects. The basic function of the Carpenter is to help with the timely and proper completion of installation projects. The Carpenter is responsible for all equipment assigned to him/her and for various other assigned tasks which should all be completed using high quality standards. The ideal candidate for the carpenter position would have at least 3 years of drywall experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Build walls, hang, and finish drywall, ensuring a seamless finish.
Perform comprehensive carpentry tasks, including framing, trim installation, and remodeling based on blueprints and work scope documents.
Install, maintain, and repair structural elements such as walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, and hardware.
Use power tools safely and efficiently; handle heavy materials and equipment.
Estimate material requirements and manage inventory.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure equipment is in excellent condition.
Work independently while effectively communicating with team members and clients.
Adhere to safety protocols and building codes.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of carpentry experience, with a strong focus on drywall and residential construction.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Physical capability to lift at least 50lbs, and perform tasks requiring stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
Commitment to punctuality and dependable attendance.
Valid driver’s license

Compensation: $22.00 per hour
