The Manager of Human Resources will ensure that all SERVPRO of Upper Bucks, NW Hunterdon County and SERVPRO of Columbia, Montour and Sullivan County employees are supported in the fulfillment of their company obligations and career goals. In this role, you will support all employees and the leadership team. If you are looking for a fast paced environment with exposure to all aspects of HR, this job is for you!
Key Responsibilities
● Maintain compliant employment files and records accuracy (e.g. W-4, I-9, Direct Deposit, etc.)
● Manage and solve complex employee relations issues
● Identify HR trends that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational goals
● Interpret appropriate laws and policies and advise management and franchise employees
● Fulfill all hiring needs through a comprehensive and robust recruiting program including participating in career fairs
● Ensure that the employee handbook is up to date, reviewed annually and policies are being enforced. ● Coordinate and contribute to 30-60-90 day and annual reviews for all staff.
● Oversee payroll accuracy including timecards, temp labor invoices, direct deposit information and wage garnishments
● Oversee fleet vehicles and service schedules to include inspections and annual registrations
● Handle any workplace accident and injuries as needed
● Update job descriptions and new hire job postings
● Participation and oversight of company safety committee
● Support business owners and other departments
● Hire, orient and assist with training of all staff. Maintain organizational chart for the company
Position Requirements
● At least 5 years of overall business experience as an HR Generalist
● Experience leading effective performance management systems and practices
● Demonstrated strength in effective recruitment, communication, and collaboration
Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies
● Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
● Ability to maintain professional composure in difficult situations
● Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and leadership team
● Proficiency in Google Workspace and ability to learn new software
● Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
Hours
● 40-45 hours/week, flexible to work overtime when required
● Participation in on call phone rotation for emergency service calls
