Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide professional estimating services on specific job sites.
  • Reviews project documentation provided by customer or the client.
  • Conducts site visits, as needed.
  • Communicates with the restoration contractor, as needed.
  • Documents and reports findings based on industry standards or professional experience.
  • Provides detailed, line-item scope and estimate for items within the project that are uncertain and need further investigation.
  • Identifies general project requirements and/or constraints to bring the structure and contents back to pre-loss conditions.
  • Divides project into sections to make scope more manageable.
  • Documents all dimensions, diagrams, and images of each room or section.
  • Identifies and documents all task that must be performed in each room or section.
  • Identifies and documents any exclusions; what will not be part of the clients scope of work.
  • Discusses scope of work with the customer.
  • Reviews project requirements (National Account Bulletins, Insurance company requirements, local agreements) that may be applicable to the project.
  • Creates the project estimate using agreed upon estimating platform.
  • Sends out bid request for specific subcontracting work as needed.
  • Complies and submits project proposal packet. 
Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Xactimate and Servpro Time & Materials (T&M) proficiency, a plus. 
  • Experience in estimating large, complex commercial projects.
  • Bachelors Degree Business Administration or relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience required in claims management and or estimating. 
  • Intermediate problem-solving skills including proper scope of work, general constraints to bring the structure and contents.
  • Detail oriented with an emphasis on project management, building codes, and documentation of all areas of project management.
