In this position, you will be a carpenter during normal business hours, but also need to be available 24/7 to perform board-up services following an emergency disaster with additional earnings incentives! Job Description: 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform the carpentry and labor to complete projects on time and within budget without sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction
  • Board up windows, doors and other openings that require covering following an emergency disaster
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Lift and carry heavy objects such as lumber, plywood, and other building materials
  • Measure and mark cutting lines to specific dimensions
  • Keep work vehicle clean, stocked and well-maintained
  • Communicate proactively with management and team leaders
  • Complete required paperwork timely and accurately
  • Restock supplies as needed
  • Ensure jobsite security and safety
  • Keep the jobsite clean
  • Assist Business Development team, such as transporting vehicle to various marketing events

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Mid-level carpentry skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor 
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing,
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
  • Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces under buildings)
  • Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects
