SERVPRO of Belmont/San Carlos, San Leandro & Stockton is currently seeking a Construction Project Assistant for our San Leandro/Hayward location.

We are seeking someone who is great with customers and has a basic to intermediate knowledge of construction principles, field inspection practices, processes, methods, and techniques. This position will work closely with Construction Management to develop an initial scope of repairs and set the tone for the customer experience. The position goal is to prepare the incumbent to progress within the Construction Division to a Construction Estimator or Project Manager. Our idea of the ultimate candidate is one who is proactive, has a passion for construction, values learning, highly dependable, and takes ownership.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

2 Years of Construction Experience in Office and/or Field
Experience with writing Construction Scope
Experience in Estimating with Xactimate a bonus, will train the right candidate
Ability to Multi-Task with strong attention to detail
Experience in service industry environment a plus;
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
Courteous and professional with Customers and Co-workers
Ability to remain calm and professional during tense or stressful situations;

Minimum education High School diploma or GED equivalent;

Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable laws;
Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with flexibility to work overtime when required.

PRIMRY RESPONSIBILITIES

Make Initial Contact with Potential Customers
Set Appointments for Inspections - Be Timely
Accurately Photograph and Document Damage/Repair needs
Prepare job file reports;
Assist in Estimate Preparation
Assist in Communication with Customers & Adjusters
Import and upload documents in our system
Communicate with Management/team to establish priorities
Additional tasks as allocated
