Mitigation Superintendent
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
1. Dispatch
a. Ensure and orderly dispatch of the crew – reviewing each job scope and that leads have the equipment and supply requirements for the day
b. If equipment, tools, or specialty equipment is needed, to handle the procurement with office staff or coordination with outside vendors
2. Mitigation Project Oversight
a. Ensure all work performed complies with the project scope of work set forth by the PM’s.
b. Review all job scopes and suggest modifications to PM’s based on unforeseen job changes, if needed.
c. Confirm that all jobs are set up correctly by techs in a manner expected by the Company, that all safety protocols have been adhered to, and validate with office staff that all documents have been signed prior to job start
d. Validate inspections of crawl spaces and ensure that work has been competed per the job scope set out by PM’s
e. Work with office to schedule subcontractors and ensure transfer of job scope, as needed.
f. Ensure job is properly equipped and has all supplies to complete the scope.
g. Ensure Leads have adequately documented all day-to-day project activities in the job file through Dry Book Mobile, MICA and M8.
h. Maintain quality standards through site inspections to job completion.
3. Customer Satisfaction
a. Compile and resolve all outstanding items at the end of the project.
b. Perform final walk-through with customer and take pictures of all damages, if any.
c. Secure a signed Certificate of Satisfaction from customer if Leads have not done so.
4. Project Communication
a. Conduct pre-mitigation meeting with customers, if instructed by the PM’s.
b. Provide project updates (daily narrative) to customers and clients.
c. Understand if customers or clients have any concerns and relay them to PM’s
d. Assist office staff with job progress to ensure that adjusters and TPA’s receive daily updates
5. Cost Control and Schedule Adherence
a. Ensure that all jobs are completed in a timely manner based on overall mitigation loss
b. Ensure subcontractors complete all work in accordance with the scope provided to them and approved by adjuster.
c. Validate schedule and progress.
d. Identify areas outside of contracted scope of work.
6. On the Job Training
a. Ensure that all leads have adequate training to perform their role as it relates to water, fire, mold and biohazard remediation
b. Provide all leads with adequate training of technology so they are able to perform their job diaries and input of their readings
7. General
a. Be familiar with and able to execute all roles and responsibilities of the Mitigation Coordinator
b. Be able to attend 4-6 job sites per day, as directed by PM’s and prioritizing those based on job level of difficulty
c. Be on the on-call schedule rotation
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Proven experience in supervising and leading teams on construction sites
- Familiarity with contract management and administration
- Proficiency in using construction management software (such as Primavera or Prolog)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
