As the Restoration Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of assigned restoration projects and assigned restoration crews. This front-line management position leads their team to operational excellence.
- Develop and manage project timelines and budgets.
- Lead and direct restoration projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate team meetings, personnel, materials and equipment.
- Monitor job progress and provide regular updates to the team.
- Ensure quality control throughout each phase of the project.
- Supervise laborers and other assigned personnel.
- Handle paperwork associated with inspections, permits, subcontracts, etc.
- Estimate costs for materials, labor and construction duration.
- Negotiate customer and/or client approval of project scope and estimate
- Ensure an accurate scope of work for projects and prepare estimates utilizing computer hardware and proprietary software
- Negotiate customer and/or client approval of project scope and estimate
- Schedule, coordinate and oversee crews and resources to provide service on active projects to include subcontractors
- Review job site documentation to support the services provided and ensure proper client requirements and billing process
- Maintain written communication with customers, teammates, vendors, and insurance representatives
- Manage production expenses including equipment, vehicles, and other material assets
- Manage the customer and client experience and overall customer satisfaction tracked with online reviews
- Provide priority response to potential customers
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training restoration teammates
- Extensive experience in project management. (3+ years)
- Ability to effectively manage budgets and timelines.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Xactimate experience (2+ years)
- Excellent communication with both customers and personnel.
- Technical knowledge of building materials and techniques.
- Knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety regulations related to construction projects.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and make decisions quickly onsite.
- Ability to work collaboratively with design, engineering, and sales teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset for quality control checks.
- Understanding of local building codes related to restoration projects
- Experience in restoration and/or construction preferred.
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma/GED; Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 1 year of management and/or supervisory experience
- At least 3 years of industry experience
- IICRC certification a preferred
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Good balance and agility to climb ladders and move over uneven surfaces and work at ceiling heights
- Dexterity with small hand tools and materials.
- Endurance to work in all weather conditions, including hot or cold temperatures.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch for extended periods of time.
- Good eyesight for reading drawings, plans, and checklists.
- Ability to use power tools safely and in accordance with OSHA regulations.
